Brief Description:Sanctus tends to think of other people as a means to an end. He works only for himself promoting his own agenda and furthering his own goals. While he is capable of working with an organization it is unlikely to see him doing so since he is rather self serving and perhaps a bit arrogant in his thinking. He is the type of person who will smile at you while twisting the knife in your back.

It is said that Villains are Born not Made. For Sanctus this couldn't be more true. He doesn't exactly remember when he was born anymore though he knows that automobiles had existed and that there had been some advancements in Science while he was a child. Enough at least that some scientists saw fit to play god. He also remembers that automobiles hadn't existed for very long. He also remembers his Father selling him to some scientists that wanted to try and make some type of 'perfect human'. Or at the very least a more evolved human.

One of the major things that stuck out in his mind besides the hatred for his father was the pain. The pain was unbearable at points as the scientists experimented on him and he wanted to die at points. He remembered being injected with different serums as well as being hooked up with who knows how many machines. He also remembered being cut open and though it could have been imagined he would have sworn that one point he lost one of his eyes and his left leg. However he still had both eyes and legs and does to this day so he's not sure how that worked if he did lose them unless he grew them back like certain reptiles can. He also remembers dying more then once though he was always brought back. He would have been fine with that if it weren't for what he'd seen on the other side.

Instead of the long dark tunnel and the light at the end people mentioned. Oh no what he saw was what people thought of when they imagined Hell. He saw the world burning, people dying and being tortured or ripped apart, creatures that were from the worst nightmares of humanity crawling out of the ground. Every time he was brought back from that he begged not to be sent back there. He pleaded with them to end the torture and just let him be. However his pleas fell on deaf ears as some of the scientists purposely sent him into cardiac arrest again to learn more about what he saw. All in the name of science.

Eventually they got their wish getting something that was more then human however they had failed in making something they could control. Sanctus now had hatred for far more people then just his father. Since no one had ever come to save him and all the scientists had refused to stop his torment he had become unhinged and began to hate all humanity. He had discovered his abilities long before the scientists having unleashed them in one his hellish nightmares. The first sight the scientists got of his powers was when he unleashed them upon the poor unsuspecting fools completely destroying their lab and killing a few of them instantly. The ones who died right away were the lucky ones. It was the one's who survived the initial onslaught that suffered.

Sanctus took his time with those scientist carving into them and injecting volatile chemicals tearing some of them apart slowly with his powers. The authorities that found the burned wreckage of the compound later found a message in the blood of his victims. 'What does Humanity know of Suffering? What does Humanity know of Agony? What does Humanity know of Madness? What does Humanity know of God? I have seen Hell and I can say there is NO GOD!' Though they would search they would find no records of what had happened that night. There were no research notes or any traces at all and the only similar scene they would find would be years later and miles away with a single father whose son had reportedly died years before the first incident.

Sanctus would vanish for a time after that leaving only one more mark. He would destroy the root company that funded the experiments and leave burning in the ground the symbol of the Ouroboros the only clue the authorities would ever get to a seemingly unrelated chain of incidents. After that Sanctus and all things connected to the three crime scenes would vanish for several years.

When Sanctus finally resurfaced however he wasn't known or at least not widely. After all why would he be? He hadn't done anything to truly make a name for himself. At least not yet he hadn't however he intended to change that. After all he had been watching and waiting. He had seen that the world hadn't changed. Sure there were more 'heroes' now then there were before but things hadn't changed. Humanity hadn't changed. It was time that he showed the world what he had seen. What they had forced a child to see!

Some organizations probably suspected who he was. After all there had from time to time in his near dormancy been occasions where a green flaming Ouroboros symbol would appear. The only thing that connected back to his past. Not to mention that someone had carved the same symbol into a certain 'deceased' child's grave. But there was nothing concreate to tie anything to him especially since said incidents were so many years apart.
