What Each Stat Means and What it does
( Note some rules may change over time as we test out the Combat System and get rid of any problems that occur or situations that come up. )
[
HP = Health Points - ( This is how much damage they can take before they die. )
SE = Stored Energy - ( This is how much energy you have. SE is consumed each time you use a power. If you have a buff or debuff it will drain a small portion of your Energy for each turn it is left active )
PD = Power Damage - ( PD is what`s used to calculate the damage you do when using Super Powers )
AP = Attack Power - ( Physical Strength is what`s used to calculate how much damage you will inflict when attacking without using any powers )
What you can do each turn.
Turns
Each turn you gain 2 actions. You may use these actions however you wish. Keep in mind though that activating a power that works like a buff or debuff cannot be deactivated in the same turn.
Using Powers
You may combine a Super Power with a Physical Attack. e.g. Superman Uses his Heat Vision then swoops in and punches the target. Your actions are yours to do with as you please. More actions can be gains with certain Abilities or Items purchased in the shop.
How Damage is calculated
If using a Physical attack you will do damage equal to the amount of AP you have. You may attempt a combo e.g. a x5 combo. A combo counts as 1 action and you may have up to 2 actions.
If using a Power you will do damage equal to the amount of Power Damage you have multiplied by the Power Cost. The total is how much damage you deal.
SE Costs
Super Powers
Super Powers cost three set amounts. Low - 25 Medium - 50 Master - 100
It is up to you how much SE You use per power Usage and in your Action notes at the bottom of your post simply state what Lvl you used. This will allow you to control how much SE you use when fighting. However constantly using Master Powers will deplete your SE Quickly. Should you run out of SE your Abilities will stop working until you gain more.
Abilities
Abilities cannot be activated. They work like passive abilities. They are always on. A character may have up to a maximum of 4 Abilities. If you run out of SE for any reason your Abilities will cease to work.
Missions and How they work.
Need to know You may request to go on any mission in the Missions Request Area . However be sure you dont exceed yor characters grasp. The higher the reward the more difficult the mission will become. Several jobs WILL have requirements such as LVL or Faction so please check before requesting if you are eligible or not.
Jobs offer Credots as a reward. This reward is split between all participating members equally. So if the reward is 10,000 Credits and 4 people go on it they get 2,500 Credits each regardless of Level.
If you (solo) or your whole party are knocked out when on a mission you will have the option to continue. If you accept you will start with half HP and SE and if you then complete it you will only receive half of the original reward.
You may take on 6 jobs at anyone time and 2 events. If you have reached this limit and wish to take on more you will have to finish the missions you are currently on. In the case of a mission member going a long time without replying or leaving the site then you will be able to drop that job should you wish.
Leveling UP
Exp
Each post you makes equals 1 exp. You can also gain exp by completing missions. At the end of each mission you will gain exp equal to the amount advertised on the mission sheet. Gain enough exp and you will Lvl Up.
What happens when I lvl? Each time you level up you will gain and increase in stats, you will also gain and extra 5 upgrade slots. This is for every Lvl. So for example if you are lvl 5 you may have 25 Upgrades for your character. You will also gain 1 more Power or Ability slot for every two Levels you earn.
Powers and how they work.
Power Costs There are 3 Mastery Lvls Low Medium and High. Each Tier has a set amount of SE cost.
Power Usage
When using a Power you will get the choice of what tier you wish to use. This gives you more control over your damage and SE Usuage. The more SE you use for a Power the more damage that power will do. However if you run out of SE you will no longer be able to use powers until you gain more SE AND your abilities will cease to work.
Some Character may have Buffs or Debuffs like Poison.
Healing and Healing Abilitys
Some character will have Healing Powers or Regenerative Abilities. Regeneration restores 5% of the characters MAX HP each turn.
Healing is not instant it will heal a target over time. A healing Power will heal 25% of the targets MAX HP over 4 turns. Alternatively you can use items from the shop to heal yourself.
There are no area heals.
Paralysis/Stopping Spells No no and no. If an enemy cannot attack you? You cannot attack them. If you have multiple stop spells? You'll be asked to remove or change them. Because let's face it. If you spam paralyzing spells, you auto-win. That's just no fun for anyone.
Invincible Powers/Abilities
In this Ark no one is invincible. Anything can hit and hurt you regardless of how powerful you may be or think you may be.
Buffs/De-Buffs All Buffs and De-Buffs will have a draining effect on the character that used them. Make sure to watch your SE count when using these types of powers. Be careful when using Buffs /Deuffs because if you run out of SE you will no longer be able to use Powers or Abilities until you finish the battle and rest OR use Items from the shop to restore it.
Buffs/Debuffs Cost 50 SE to Use and 25 SE per turn they are active. The damage they will inflict is worked out by the Turn cost (25) x Power Damage
Speed Buffs If a character uses or has a speed Buff or Ability, this allows them 1 more action in a turn on top of the normal 2 (3 in total) If a character or enemy has a speed de-buff cast on them it reduces the amount of actions they can take by 1.
Area Attacks Powers are allowed to hit an area and multiple enemy's at once. How many it hits will be determined with a dice roll and can hit up to and including 6 foes. In one turn you may have 2 actions. If you use an area Power and hit 4 monsters its like using 4 powers (one on each monster) in that one action. This means it consumes much more SE. SE consumed is calculated by Power Damage x Monsters Hit.
